How to detect and confirm a mask with a fluorescent agent

How does the three-purpose UV analyzer detect and confirm that a mask is added with a fluorescent agent?

I tested several masks this afternoon, and I think that there are two masks containing fluorescent agents, and they are deliberately added. There are a few children's shoes that may have other ingredients that may also produce fluorescent reactions. How can you make sure that you have deliberately added fluorescent agents? ?

This question is not difficult to answer, let's do a cross-check test.

Prepare one: Shanghai Jiapeng brand three-purpose UV analyzer

A known:

One of the suspect brand ingredients is as follows:

Water

2. Curacao Aloe Gel

3. Soy extract

4. Witch hazel extract

5. Sodium lactate

6. Panthenol

7. Xanthan gum

8. Tocopherol (vitamin E)

9. Diimidazolidinyl urea

10. Ureocapsule

11. Flavor

Also know:

(1) Another mask containing the following ingredients has no fluorescence reaction:

Water

2. Curacao Aloe Gel

3. Soy extract

4. Witch hazel extract

(2) Another product containing the following components does not have an ultraviolet fluorescence reaction or tests these components separately, and there is no fluorescence reaction:

5. Sodium lactate

6. Panthenol

7. Xanthan gum

8. Tocopherol (vitamin E)

9. Diimidazolidinyl urea

10. Ureocapsule

(3) All dozens of tested products (not only the mask, I also tested many other skin care products) contain flavors, but none of them except the two.

Therefore, it can be considered that a product containing only the above components is unlikely to have a strong fluorescence reaction.

Also tested:

(4) The mask of the mask was dropped onto a filter paper which was completely free of fluorescence reaction, and dried, and it was found that the liquid coverage area was clearly white. The area was illuminated by the Jiapeng brand three-purpose ultraviolet analyzer, and a strong fluorescence reaction was observed.

(5) Fluorescence reaction brightness and color in this area are only comparable to and similar to copy paper, and it is known that fluorescent whitening agents are added to copy paper.

In summary:

The fluorescence reaction of the mask is not due to the natural fluorescence reaction of its own product components, but deliberately added a fluorescent whitening agent, which is used to quickly achieve the so-called "rejuvenation" whitening effect, ignoring consumers.

After this post came out, I encountered many questions and said:

1 normal components may also fluoresce, each component should be tested separately, otherwise the conclusion is not credible;

2 It cannot be ruled out that the film paper itself has the possibility of fluorescence and migration into the mask liquid. Thanks to the help of the peers, I found the raw materials and mask base of all the ingredients of the mask.

The monomer test was conducted again on August 28 and the results are as follows:
